The State of Michigan has a special incentive for those who donate to food pantries like Yad Ezra. The Homeless Shelter/Food Bank credit on the Michigan Income Tax Return provides a 50% Michigan Tax Credit in addition to any federal deductions available. A cash donation to Yad Ezra of $400.00 could result in a net cost of only $60.00 to the donor*.
For the State of Michigan, the credit for a donation to Yad Ezra is limited as follows:
