Purim Pasta Shake-Up

What: Bring an unopened bag/box of kosher pasta, macaroni and cheese, etc. to shake as a grogger on Purim during the Megillah reading when Haman's name is mentioned.

At the end of the service, collect the pasta to be donated to Yad Ezra.

When: Purim begins Saturday evening, February 27th and ends Sunday evening, February 28th.

Where: Wherever Megilla readings are taking place!

Why: To fulfill the mitzvah of Matanot L'evyonim by helping feed the 5% metro-Detroit Jewish population that relies on Yad Ezra for assistance every month (1,600 families representing 3,600 individuals).
