Yad Ezra is Michigan’s only Kosher food pantry.
Yad Ezra clients do not have to meet any financial criteria in order to qualify as recipients.
Yad Ezra provides a supplemental food package filled with nutritious well-balanced foods to low income Jewish people approximately once every four weeks. For Jewish and American holidays, we distribute delicious, traditional foods to clients in addition to their regular food packages.
All food packages are based on family size.
Referrals come from Jewish Family Service, area clergy, social service agencies like United Way and other organizations in the greater community. However, it is not necessary to have a referral in order to receive assistance from Yad Ezra; anyone (regardless of religious affiliation) who comes to Yad Ezra claiming they need food will receive a package of groceries from us at least one time.
Jewish families who we have established as eligible to receive a food package from Yad Ezra approximately once every 4 weeks.
To be eligible, a client must be Jewish, work for a Jewish agency, or live in Jewish subsidize housing.
Yad Ezra is a Total Choice Food Pantry; client families choose the items that they want.
*Client information is always confidential.*
We offer a drive-through window for clients who want a more discreet and confidential way to pick up groceries. Learn more.
