IMPORTANT MESSAGE

Regarding Coronavirus

from:
Alan Reiter, President
Lea Luger, Director

We wanted to update you as to what measures we are taking in light of the coronavirus.

It is of paramount importance that our client families have access to our services and not feel insecure or concerned that their reliance on our food distribution could be in jeopardy.

We are monitoring the situation carefully and have taken the current measures to mitigate this epidemic.

Please be aware that Yad Ezra guarantees to do everything within our power to continue to distribute food to our population.

We are still distributing food to our clients.  Current conditions require some changes in our distribution system. As of Sunday, March 15, 2020, we are distributing only pre-packaged grocery orders. We will not be able to accommodate personal selection of foods. We will distribute groceries to clients in our parking lot at the client and volunteer doors so that clients do not need to leave their cars. We will accommodate the size of families as much as possible.

Please know that this is subject to change based on developments in the situation.

For our dedicated volunteers:

We are certain you are aware of the fluidly changing situation regarding the coronavirus in the world and in our community. Please be aware that Yad Ezra guarantees to do everything within our power to continue to deliver food to our population.

We are still delivering food to our clients. That being said, current conditions require that we change course from our regular system of delivery. As of Sunday, March 15, 2020, we are distributing only pre-packaged grocery orders. We will not  be accommodating personal selection of foods. We will distribute groceries to clients in our parking lot at the client and volunteer doors so that clients do not leave their cars. We will need volunteers. We cannot do this without help. However, please know that your regular volunteer post will likely be different as our system will be different.

Passover Distribution, April 5th and 6th:

We are continuing to distribute groceries but only through the drive-through window, thereby alleviating the opportunity for social gathering.  We are committed to having the Passover distribution this year but recognize that we may have to do it outside using the drive thru window.

We will continue to update this information as/if the situation changes.
