Yad Ezra is Michigan’s only Kosher Food Pantry.
Yad Ezra clients meet certain financial criteria in order to qualify as recipients.
Yad Ezra provides a supplemental food package filled with nutritious and well-balanced foods that are distributed to low income Jewish individuals and families approximately once every four weeks. For every Jewish holiday, delicious, traditional foods are distributed to clients in addition to their regular food packages.
All food packages are based on family size.
Referrals come from Jewish Family Service, area clergy, social service agencies in the greater community and other organizations.
Anyone who comes to Yad Ezra claiming they need food will receive a package of groceries from us at least one time (regardless of religious affiliation).
Jewish families who fit within the financial guidelines we’ve established are eligible to receive a food package from Yad Ezra approximately once every 4 weeks.
To be eligible, a client’s income can fall within 200% of National Poverty Guidelines. Please note: Yad Ezra’s staff members use discretion with regard to client eligibility and will consider extenuating circumstances for those whose income exceeds 200% of the guidelines.
Client families choose the items that they want and need. Yad Ezra is a Total Choice Food Pantry.
