David’s Post

Pat and I worked on the assignment of grocery shopping for two with a budget of $64 for a week.  I found this project both challenging and rewarding at the same time.

As we walked up and down the aisles at Meijer, we found ourselves discussing meal preparation and how difficult it must be to eat healthy and kosher while living on essentially a nominal budget.

For me personally, I found myself wanting to do even more for our clients.  I can only imagine how difficult it must be to live month after month on such a limited food budget.  Healthy eating is almost impossible so it is incumbent upon us to do more for our client base.  I need to make sure I leave no stone unturned in my effort to find the best quality food for our Jewish brothers and sisters ( and bubbies and zaydies) while, obviously, living within Yad Ezra’s means. I will put forth even more effort to make this happen!
